Mr
Dominic King BSc MB ChB MEd MRCS (Eng) |
Dominic is specialty
trainee in General Surgery in London. He is currently
undertaking a PhD at Imperial College London.
His undergraduate medical degree was undertaken
at the University of St Andrews and the University
of Manchester Medical Schools and he has also
undertaken a Masters in Surgical Education at
Imperial College London. His basic surgical training
was carried out in Oxford and at St Mary’s
Hospital, London.
He has a keen interest in medical education and
runs professional courses for surgical exams.

SG Farid, BSc(Hons) Med Sc, MBChB, MRCS (Eng) |

Shahid
Farid is a General Surgery trainee in Leeds
and completed his Basic Surgical Rotation
in the Yorkshire Deanery. He completed his
medical studies at St Andrews and Manchester
Universities, and is a member of the Royal
College of Surgeons of England. He is currently
the HPB/Organ Transplant Research Fellow at
St James University Hospital, Leeds and undertaking
an MD research study in the field of cholangiocarcinoma.
Shahid is passionate about medical education
and taught students of all grades and previously
appointed Anatomy Demonstartor at the University
of Manchester in 2004. He was co founder of
the succesful MRCSmaster Surgical Examination
courses (www.mrcsmaster.co.uk). |

Mr
Trystan Lewis BSc MBBS MRCS (Eng) |
Trystan is a speciality
trainee in Core Surgery in London. He is currently
undertaking a PhD focusing on surgical education
and training at Imperial College London. He qualified
as a doctor from Imperial College London, where
he also completed a BSc in Surgery and anaesthesia.
During university he was elected captain of the
medical school football club and whilst representing
the first XI, won the University Hospital (UH) cup.
He undertook Foundation year 1 and 2 in and around
London, working at the prestigious Royal Marsden
Hospital, before commencing his speciality training
at St. Marys Hospital. |

Miss
Aimee N. di Marco MA MBBS AKC MRCS |
Is a Specialist Registrar
in General Surgery and Walport Academic Clinical
Fellow based at St. Mary’s Hospital and Imperial
College, London.
She studied pre-clinical medicine at Newnham College,
Cambridge where she gained Blues for representing
Cambridge University in the Women’s Boat Race.
She then moved to Guy’s, King’s &
St. Thomas’ School of Medicine, London for
her clinical course, graduating with distinction.
She undertook pre-registration and Senior House
Officer training in and around London, including
a 6 month post teaching anatomy and neuroanatomy
to undergraduate and postgraduate students at Guy’s,
King’s & St. Thomas’ School of Medicine
under the tutelage of the inspirational Professor
Harold Ellis. Aimee has continued to teach
medical students of all ages since then. Aimee
is extremely keen on encouraging bright students
from all backgrounds to join the profession in order
to maintain the status of clinicians at the forefront
of advancing medical knowledge and technology. |

Mr
Henry Lee BSc MB BCh MRCS (Eng) |
Henry studied Medicine
at Cardiff University, and completed an intercalated
degree in Medical Microbiology at Edinburgh University
between his 3rd and 4th years of medicine. After
graduating he worked for a year in Cardiff and then
did his basic surgical training in London. Henry
is currently a specialty trainee in General Surgery
in London, and started a PhD at Imperial College
in October 2008. He teaches Imperial College medical
students basic clinical skills and is a final year
tutor coaching undergraduates prior to finals examinations.
